The Polestar 1 made its European debut at the 2018 Geneva auto show, which is also its first auto show appearance after its world debut in late 2017. Thomas Ingenlath, CEO of Polestar, revealed that the Polestar 1 has garnered interest from 6,000 potential customers and believes that the automaker has exceeded its early stage production potential. Pre-orders for the Polestar 1 will start on March 13, 2018, and consumers can put down a €2,500 deposit, which is roughly $3,100 at current exchange rates. Initially, pre-orders will only be open for consumers in six markets including the U.S., Sweden, Germany, Norway, China, and the Netherlands.
